Walking around the Grand Pic Saint-Loup with an "agricultural" eye allows you to perceive its diversity: plateaux of garrigue, therefore an ultrasec environment, with sheep farming; then plains, such as the London basin, where water accumulates in the subsoil, which allows cereal, legume and market gardening crops to be grown," explains Marc Pratlong, creator of Aromatiques du Pic Saint-Loup and La Cabane paysanne.
In any case, the best way to meet local producers is to go to the markets in the communes: short circuits guaranteed! For example, the "Autumn Day" to be held on the esplanade of Viols-en-Laval on 9 October, from 11am to 5pm, will feature a market of local producers and craftsmen.
