Hiking in the Grand Pic Saint-Loup territory without a car
Focus on our "nature walks, without a car!" destinations
in collaboration with Hérault Transport (LIO)
The following routes can be reached by bus 608:

"Le bois de Lèques" from Les Matelles (2h round trip): downhill and uphill to the MAIRIE des Matelles stop.

"Le sentier de Sauzet" from the D113 (2h40 round trip): downhill and uphill to the "EMB. DE VIOLS", the roundabout before Viols-en-Laval.

"Le sentier des Drailles" from Viols-le-Fort (2h45 round trip), descent and ascent to the stop "PLAN DE L'EGLISE" on a car park along the Avenue du Castellas.

"Le Ravin des Arcs" from the car park on the bend in the D986 (1h30 round trip), downhill and up to the "MASCLA" stop in the hamlet of Notre-Dame-de-Londres.

The Pic Saint-Loup from Saint-Martin-de-Londres (6h round trip), downhill and back up to the "CENTRE" stop and follow the yellow and red signs towards Mas-de-Londres to then reach Cazevieille and pick up the yellow line from the Pic Saint-Loup car park to reach its summit.
- The Pic Saint-Loup from Cazevieille (2h30 round trip), only from 6 April to 30 June 2024 with the "Rando du Pic Saint-Loup" shuttle bus* (more information at the bottom of this page).

The bus line 610 allows you to do the following hikes:

The oenorando "Entre Grés de Montpellier et Pic Saint-Loup" from Assas (4h) downhill and uphill at the "CAVE COOPERATIVE" stop

Les Charbonnières from Sainte-Croix-de-Quintillargues (2h30) downhill and uphill at the "ROUTE DES AIRES" stop

La Fontanaride from Teyran (1h30), downhill and uphill to the "RUE DES HIRONDELLES" stop
The 614 bus line allows you to do the hike

From the Bois de Saint-Sauveur at the start of Saint-Clément-de-Rivière (2h), get off and on at the "CLINIQUES" stop
The bus line 615 allows you to go to the summit of the Pic Saint-Loup from Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers (5h A/R). Get off and get back on at the GARONNE or AVENUE DE MONTPELLIER stop, then walk in the direction of the old Saint Mathieu to catch up with the White and Red (GR60) or Yellow and Red (GRP) markings which will take you to the summit, passing close to the Château de Montferrand.
- PLEASE NOTE: The timetable of the bus line 615 does not allow you to hike the Crête de Taillade from Claret with a return ticket during the day.
- PLEASE NOTE: The timetable of the bus line 616 does not allow you to do the hike from Arnède to Caravette from Murles with a return ticket during the day.
- There is no public transport to Ferrières-les-Verreries, Saint-Jean-de-Buèges or Pégairolles-de-Buèges.
*A "Rando du Pic Saint-Loup" shuttle will be running from 6 April to 30 June 2024.
This shuttle is an extension of line 608 and runs from Montpellier (Occitanie tramway station) to Cazevieille, via Saint-Martin-de-Londres.
It runs as follows:
- every day during the "zone C" spring holidays (from 6 April to 21 April inclusive);
- every weekend (saturdays and sundays) from 27 April to 30 June inclusive;
- all public holidays between 06 April and 30 June (i.e. 8 May, 9 May and 20 May) except 1 May, when route 608 and this shuttle will not operate;
- Friday 10 May, which will be considered a school holiday.
