GRANDE TRAVERSEE DE L'HERAULT - ROUSSIERES/PUECHABON
Viols “causse” or limestone plateau takes over from Londres plain with its drovers’ roads used for seasonal moves to summer pastures and the flowering of asphodels in Spring.
Wonderful view points can be found over the Mediterranean, the Pyrenees, Montagne Noire and more distant landscapes: Caroux massif and Espinouse, beyond the Séranne and the Hérault valley. Please note: a physical and sustained climb after Patus sheepfold and a rapid and stony descent when you come to Fontanille wood.
